DO I NEED TO DOWNLOAD A NEW APP?
No. If you have the Runtastic Running & Fitness and/or the Runtastic Results app installed on your phone, you do not need to download a new app.
The apps will either automatically update to the new design (if automatic updates are enabled on your phone), or you can manually update your apps by opening the App Store / Google Play Store on your phone and tapping on the “Update” button next to the respective app.
WHAT DOES THE REBRANDING MEAN FOR ME?
Your favorite apps will be even better in the future. You can use all existing functions just as before and the feature sets will even be expanded. You might have noticed that the app names and icons, as well as the look and feel of the apps has changed — but all features remain and will be further expanded.
Of course your entire training history, preferences, etc. will be saved and accessible as always.
WHAT DOES THE REBRANDING MEAN FOR THE RUNTASTIC BRAND?
Runtastic will still be responsible for the development and improvement of your favorite app(s). As always, we’ll be by your side to support you on your fitness journey.
In order to show that we’re a proud member of the adidas family, you’ll see more adidas branding around, but the Runtastic brand will not completely disappear.
WHAT EXACTLY CHANGES IN THE APPS?
All features and functionalities stay the same — it’s only the look and feel that changes:
- New app names that show we’re part of the adidas family:
- The Runtastic app is now called adidas Running by Runtastic.
- The Runtastic Results app is now called adidas Training by Runtastic.
- A fresh new look:
- After 10 years, we thought it’s time to give our apps a clean, modern look and new colors.
- Smaller design updates like new fonts ensure better readability and usability.
Besides that, we also updated the names and look of our social media channels, the blog, etc. for consistency across all channels. From now on, we’ll provide you with fitness news, training tips, workouts, fun stuff, and any other content or information as “adidas Runtastic”.
WHY ARE THE RUNTASTIC PRODUCTS REBRANDED?
Since 2015, Runtastic and adidas have been one big family. With the recent rebranding, the product names and the look and feel of the main Runtastic apps and channels will change to clearly show that we are part of the adidas universe. For you as a user, this means that you will benefit from the power of two expert brands which will provide you with a seamless user experience as well as valuable benefits in the future.
ARE THERE ANY DOWNSIDES FOR ME?
Nothing has changed when it comes to putting your needs above everything else. We want to provide the best possible running and training experiences and are convinced that the increase in collaboration with adidas will enable us to offer even more features and bigger benefits to help you live a healthier, happier life and give you the chance to be part of a community dedicated to health, fitness, and sustainability.
CAN I USE MY miCoach DEVICE WITH THE ADIDAS RUNNING APP?
The miCoach family of devices were built specifically for use with the miCoach platform. Their use with the adidas Runtastic platform will be limited. See below for more details on your specific device:
Fit Smart: can be used with adidas Running as a heart rate monitor
Smart Run: this is a stand alone device and cannot be used with adidas Running
HRM Bluetooth: can be used with adidas Running as a heart rate monitor
SPEED_CELL Bluetooth: cannot be used with adidas Running
X_CELL: can be used with adidas Running as a heart rate monitor
MiCoach Pacer: cannot be used with adidas Running
HOW CAN I CHANGE MY EMAIL ADDRESS?
If you want to change your email address in the adidas Runtastic apps, please follow the steps indicated in the following Help Center article.

Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our emails if you do not want to receive them anymore. By unsubscribing from adidas emails, you also automatically unsubscribe from all adidas Runtastic emails as well.
HOW DO I DELETE MY ADIDAS AND/OR RUNTASTIC ACCOUNT(S)?
Follow the steps described in the respective section of this article to delete your account.
If you delete your account, you won’t be able to use the adidas Running and adidas Training by Runtastic apps anymore.
By deleting your account, you will still be able to use the adidas app, but not be able to log in anymore.
HOW DO I RESET MY PASSWORD?
If you want to reset your password via the adidas Runtastic apps, please follow the steps indicated here.
I CAN’T ACCESS MY RUNTASTIC AND/OR ADIDAS ACCOUNT – WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you are not able to log in, it might be because you only need one account for all adidas platforms from now on. Please check your inbox (and spam folder) for an email with the login credentials for your new all-in-one account.
In case you missed the email, please try both your Runtastic and your adidas account login – one of the two should work. Find more information here.
I HAD A RUNTASTIC AND AN ADIDAS ACCOUNT – HOW DO I KNOW WHICH CREDENTIALS TO USE NOW?
If you've had a Runtastic and an adidas account in the past, you will receive an email with information about which login credentials to use in the future. Make sure to check your spam folder in case you haven’t received an email.

miCoach End of Service
On February 28, 2018, adidas closed down the miCoach platform and handed the baton to Runtastic. Your miCoach data is now anonymized within the adidas systems and no longer accessible.
It is no longer possible to migrate your data from the miCoach platform to the adidas Running app.
WHAT HAPPENS TO ALL OTHER RUNTASTIC APPS?
All other Runtastic apps have been deleted from the app stores over the past few months in order to fully focus all our development efforts on the two main apps, adidas Running and adidas Training, in the future.
However, all other Runtastic apps can still be used if you had installed them on your phone before they were removed from the app stores, but they won’t be updated anymore and can’t be downloaded anymore if uninstalled. Note: It is possible that these apps won't work as expected anymore if you update your phone's operating system, as this usually requires a newer app version too.
WHAT HAPPENS TO MY DATA AND ACCOUNT INFORMATION (IF THERE’S JUST ONE ACCOUNT FOR ALL ADIDAS PLATFORMS)?
Everything you need stays with you: you will keep all information and data related to your Runtastic profile, activities, training history, preferences, etc.
If you’ve had an adidas account in the past, the preferences and information saved there will still be visible to you in the future.

We ask you to verify your email address for security reasons. We want to ensure that you are the owner of this account.
WHY HAVE YOU SELECTED THESE LOGIN CREDENTIALS FOR ME?
We’ve selected these login credentials for you to make your experience better and safer. Your user experience and data security are of greatest importance to us.
WILL I ONLY GET ADIDAS ADS NOW?
Both the adidas Running and the adidas Training app are free of third-party ads. Just like in the past, every now and then we will show you certain adidas products we find awesome and believe might interest you — like cool new running or hiking shoes, innovative gear for running in the heat or cold, or exclusive discounts, for example. We know that high-quality sports gear helps you stay fit and avoid injuries while enabling you to perform your best.
