• Tracking Steps with a Runtastic Wearable

    If you have connected your wearable to the Steps app, you will still need to choose your preferred step-tracking source. Follow the simple steps below to do this:

    • Tap the “Profile” tab followed by the gear icon in the top right corner
    • Select “Step Tracking Sources”
    • Choose either “Google Fit” or “This Device”

    The Steps app will then be able to collect your data from both sources - your wearable and your additional step-tracking source.

    This means that you can still track your steps with Google-Fit or your device even if you’ve forgotten to put on your wearable in the morning - you just need to have your phone with you. If you put your wearable back on later that day, the Steps app will simply add any steps you’ve already tracked with Google Fit/your device to the steps tracked with your wearable.

    If you are using both step-tracking sources at the same time, for example, walking with your wearable on your wrist and your phone in your pocket, there’s no need to worry. The Steps app will recognize this and display the value from the step-tracking source which has collected the highest number of steps.

    For these reasons, you might see a slight variation between the value shown in Google Fit and the value displayed in the Steps app.

  • Understanding Your Data in the Activity Tab

    The “Activity” tab gives you a summarized overview of your “Steps”, “Walked kilometers”, “Active minutes” and “Calories” in the past seven days.

    Wonder how active you have been on a particular day? Simply tap the respective bar to view more details of that specific day.


    • Green shows that you reached at least 100% of your step goal
    • Yellow indicates that you reached between 50% and 100% of your step goal
    • Red means that you reached less than 50% of your step goal.

  • Values Displayed on My Orbit

    In order to choose what information is being displayed on your Orbit, follow these simple steps:

    • Tap the “Profile” tab followed by the gear icon
    • Tap “Wearables”
    • Scroll to the bottom and tap “Orbit Display”

    Here you can choose what values should be displayed on your Orbit.

  • View My Distance

    In the “Progress” tab, you can find summarized information about your “Distance”. Here, you can see how many kilometers (including all walking and running activities) you have reached “This Month” and “This Year”.

    To view more details, tap “See More” next to “Distance”. Here, you can filter your statistics by “Day”, “Week”, “Month” or “Year”.

    Your total distance includes data synchronized from Walking, Hiking, Nordic Walking and Running activities in the Runtastic app.

  • View My Statistics

    The Steps app allows you to gain a deeper insight into your daily habits. For an overview of your monthly statistics, simply tap the “Progress” tab.

    The ring diagram summarizes the progress of your daily step goals for the month.


    • Green indicates how many days of the month you have reached your daily step goal.
    • Red indicates the number of days you reached below 50% of your steps goal.
    • Yellow shows the number of days you reached between 50% and 100% of your steps goal.

    Next to the colored ring diagram, you can find your average steps for the month and your highest steps count of the month (“Best day”).

    To view more details of your steps statistics, tap “See more” in the top right corner. Here you can filter your statistics by “Day”, “Week”, “Month” and “Year”.
